Terms and Conditions for Volunteers at Rural Health Access Initiatives (RHAI)

Welcome to Rural Health Access Initiatives (RHAI). We are delighted to have you join us in our mission to improve health outcomes in rural communities. To ensure a productive and respectful experience, we ask that all volunteers adhere to the following terms and conditions:

Volunteer Responsibilities:

Volunteers are expected to fulfill their assigned duties to the best of their ability and in accordance with the guidelines provided by RHAI.
Volunteers should be punctual, reliable, and inform their supervisor in advance if they are unable to attend a scheduled shift or event.
Code of Conduct:

All volunteers must conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner when interacting with community members, staff, and fellow volunteers.
Discriminatory, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in termination of the volunteer agreement.
Confidentiality:

Volunteers are required to maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive or personal information they encounter while volunteering. This includes respecting the privacy of individuals and not disclosing any personal information without proper authorization.
Health and Safety:

Volunteers must adhere to all health and safety protocols established by RHAI. Any hazards, accidents, or safety concerns should be reported to a supervisor immediately.
Volunteers should not engage in activities that could pose a risk to their health or the health of others.
Use of Organization Property:

Any equipment, tools, or resources provided by RHAI should be used solely for volunteer duties and should be handled with care.
Volunteers are responsible for returning any borrowed items in good condition.
Termination of Volunteer Agreement:

Either RHAI or the volunteer may terminate the volunteer relationship at any time. RHAI reserves the right to terminate a volunteer’s involvement if their conduct is inconsistent with the organization’s values or policies.
No Compensation:

Volunteer positions at RHAI are unpaid. Volunteers are not entitled to wages, benefits, or any form of compensation for their time.
Media and Publicity:

By participating as a volunteer, you consent to the use of photographs or videos taken during your service for promotional and educational purposes unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Indemnity:

Volunteers agree to indemnify and hold harmless RHAI from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of their volunteer activities.
Amendments:

RHAI reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions as necessary. Any changes will be communicated to volunteers in a timely manner.
